The Year of Change
I am only writing because I don’t have much to write about, and I paid for this domain so I better use it more often!
I am going to keep this very short, and very simple. I still have not heard back from Delaware. I wake every morning in anticipation of the letter that just doesn’t want to come. This feeling of impending change has been with me for two months now and it is wearing me down. I appease myself by mapping my potential bike tour route on Google maps. I will post the map once it is finished. It is definitely an adventure of a lifetime and I get so excited just thinking about it!
And the election, good lord the election! It was a beautiful thing and definitely something I will never forget. One thing that intrigued me about his speech following the announcement of his election was how somber he was. His grandmother had passed away just 2 nights prior, and it goes without question that it must have been a bitter-sweet time for him. Surely her passing played a part in his attitude that night, but I also do not doubt that he was advised to play it somber. With his stance on partisanship, the state of the economy, and international relations how would the American people and the world perceive his acceptance? He did not want them to perceive it as a triumph for him. This was a triumph for freedom! For teamwork! For change! For the world! This is a time of selflessness.
It was really very beautiful. However, I can only look at Obama and think about how he must have been wishing his grandmother could have seen that moment.

Halloween 2008!
So, I have decided to teach myself how to do digital video editing. Below is my first attempt, filmed one week before Halloween at my house and the house we endearingly call “the Shithouse”.
